👋 Hey administrative rockstars! Thanks for your interest in working with PodReacher.

We’re seeking an organized and motivated admin. to fulfill essential operations and project management tasks for our specialized content agency. If you’re a self-starter, comfortable with remote work and interested in joining a growing business, keep reading.

💡 The role

The Editorial Administrator is responsible for ensuring deliverables are sent to clients on time (or ahead of schedule) M-F. This is a part-time role of 12-15 hours/week.

You’re on top of what needs to go out each day and love to check items off your to-do list. Using Trello and our project management spreadsheet, you’re aware of where content is in the workflow and you’ll take it upon yourself to check in with editors if you detect any potential bottlenecks (proactive is the name of the game).

You’ll help us create and edit client briefs, ensuring they’re polished so that writers and editors have the information needed to always deliver A+ work.

You have strong written skills. You feel comfortable responding to client emails and routing questions to the right person. You’ll also be responsbile for tasks like sending out writer contracts and updating writer records.

Finally, you are interested in being a part of a small, collegial team and find the work we do interesting as heck! PodReacher’s goal is to become the world leader in content transformation. We mostly work from podcasts, but we can take any recording and turn it into a blog post, ebook, white paper etc. Most of our clients are B2B.

☑️ Ideal candidate experience

We’re open to candidates with a range of experience and backgrounds. But we’re looking for someone who has at least 2-4 years of experience in an administrative role ideally in an agency setting and/or with an online publisher.

We did not include “editorial” in the title by an accident. The ideal candidate will have experience with content mangement and have a grasp on what is involved in delivering high-quality content. You can help translate client requests into instructions for writers and editors based on this understanding.

Here are a few of the qualities and experiences we’re seeking for this role:

✔️ You are very detail-oriented and organized (it’s not unusual for you to get ahead of your to-do list)
✔️ You are comfortable with self-management – while the expectations for this role will be clearly communicated to you, our operation is too small for micro-management
✔️ You take initiative! You don’t only do what’s asked of you – you enjoy doing it really well
✔️ You’ve worked with Trello or a similar project management tool
✔️ Slack, email, Loom and other asynchronous communication doesn’t faze you
✔️ You’re based in North/Central/South America and have availability during regular business hours (Eastern/Central)

We’ll be super impressed if you are good with Zapier and/or have past experience creating a process that made life easier for your colleagues or a client (tell us about this in the application if you did).

⌚ Hours

Intially, we expect ~15 hours per week, but are seeking a candiate with the desire and flexibility to expand to 25 hours/week after the first few months.
