Now Hiring: Remote Procurement Analyst
This is a contract position for a procurement analyst with Veloce, Inc. We are a US-based supply chain management firm working with aerospace companies to manage their subcontracting activities in North America.
This specific position involves extensive work reviewing Bill of Material (BOM), performing part research for purpose of identification of potential sources of supply, releasing Requests for Quotations (RFQ) to suppliers, entering supplier quote data into the database, and performing post-Purchase Order release follow up as required. Follow-up phone calls and correspondence to suppliers may also be required.
Additionally, the procurement analyst will be responsible for maintaining a database containing historical procurement information such as sources of supply, pricing, and lead-times. Extensive data entry and analysis of the data will be required.
Ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office. In particular, advanced proficiency with MS Excel is required as most Veloce and customer business systems are Excel-based. Applicants must work well in a team environment, be customer-oriented, and able to work independently.
U.S. citizen or national required. BA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration is preferred. Preference is given to those with a minimum of 1-2 years of Procurement related experience.
Veloce, Inc. is a virtual organization. While this position requires work in a team environment, all work will be virtually accomplished and supervised. The position will require availability in the Central/West Coast time zones and approximately 10-15 hours per week. Candidates will be responsible for their own computer/phone. A license for Microsoft office will be provided if necessary. Travel requirements are possible but are not likely.
