We're searching for a Product Designer who recognizes that design isn't just about aesthetics—it's pivotal to user retention and satisfaction. In a market where users can easily switch based on comparable offerings, a major differentiation lies in crafting intuitive and engaging interactions. As a Product Designer at beehiiv, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our product provides a best-in-class user experience.

We’re seeking a self-motivated teammate to join our product team as the second product designer, who communicates early and often, and strives for the whole team to succeed. Ideally, this person has at least 3-5 years under their belt. We respect each other as individuals and know work is just one part of life; we want you to have the flexibility and support you need to achieve fulfillment in your personal and professional lives.

Requirements:

Proven Expertise. Multiple years of hands-on experience in interactive application design using Figma, with a strong ability to work independently and apply principles of UI/visual design effectively.
Design Acumen. Exceptional skills in visual design (UI/UX), utilizing design systems, and crafting intuitive interaction patterns. Demonstrated ability to prototype and solve complex interaction challenges.
Strategic Collaboration. Ability to connect product strategy to execution, fostering a collaborative, creative, and customer-centric development process. Experience working cross-functionally with engineers and product managers.

What you'll need:

Passion for Excellence. An innate drive to craft best-in-class solutions for various UI, UX, and interaction challenges.
Visualization Expertise. Demonstrated proficiency in expressing design ideas through visuals and prototyping tools.
Effective Communication. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, are essential for strategic collaboration and effective feedback cycles.

What you will be responsible for:

Collaborative Approach. Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and designers to go zero to one on high impact customer facing products and features.
Comprehensive Design Creation. Develop user flows, construct prototypes, and produce high-fidelity visuals for designated features.
Commitment to Quality. Strive for unmatched quality in our designs and execution, guiding projects from start to finish to ensure they exceed expectations and delight customers.
Feedback and Adaptability. Engage in regular feedback cycles with design and engineering teams, demonstrates openness to feedback with a team-first attitude.
Data-Driven Design. Utilize a hypothesis-driven approach paired with customer insights and metrics to inform and enhance the design process, focusing on fast, iterative validation.
