Digital Project Manager

Position Overview: 

As a Project Manager at the intersection of Technology and Marketing, your role is not just about overseeing individual projects; it's about fostering collaboration and synergy between two crucial functions at Skin Clique. The need for cross-functional partnership is paramount in today's fast-paced business environment, where success often hinges on the ability to seamlessly integrate technology with marketing strategies. 

In this dynamic position, you'll be tasked with facilitating Technology and Marketing initiatives, blending technical understanding with creative vision to drive organizational success. Your ability to navigate the complexities of both realms and facilitate effective communication between teams will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and deliver maximum impact. 

By infusing the need for cross-functional partnership into your approach, you'll be able to leverage the unique strengths of each department, harnessing the power of technology to amplify marketing efforts and vice versa. Whether it's aligning IT infrastructure upgrades with upcoming campaign launches or integrating new systems to support product promotions, your role is to break down silos and foster collaboration that drives innovation and growth. 

Ultimately, as a Project Manager overseeing Technology and Marketing initiatives, you have the opportunity to be a catalyst for change, bridging the gap between two essential functions and leading your organization towards greater success through the power of cross-functional partnership.   

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Execution: 

  • Develop detailed project plans for both Technology and Marketing initiatives, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. 

  • Coordinate with IT teams for infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and software developments, as well as with marketing teams for campaign launches and promotional activities. 

  • Tracking program and project process to keep key leadership up to speed on status and risks. Includes leading status meetings, taking notes, and creating action items 

  • Collecting and ensuring action is taken on feedback provided to move a program or project forward. 

  • Working with senior leadership to assign key people to work on tasks, for prioritized programs and projects. 

  • Work with individual contributors to help unblock tasks, chase down details, and schedule meetings to keep projects moving forward. 

  • Lead daily or weekly status meetings depending on the project needs to ensure all project contributors have what they need to keep moving forward. 

 

Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Communicate project objectives, status updates, and key milestones to stakeholders from both IT and Marketing departments. 

  • Collaborate with department leads, end-users, and other teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 

 

Risk Management: 

  • Identify potential risks for both Technology and Marketing projects and partner to develop with team leaders to develop mitigation strategies. 

  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables in either domain. 

 

Budget Management: 

  • Help create and manage project budgets for business projects, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. 

  • Monitor project expenditures and optimize resource allocation across IT and Marketing initiatives. 

 

Tools and Processes: 

  • Partner with teams to ensure the adoption and correct usage of all project management and tracking tools. 

  • Help teams implement and follow best practices related to outlining, tracking, and work. 

  • Be the "in-house expert” for project management tools and help to continually improve workflows.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in an agency or digital product team setting. 

  • Experience with Jira, including Work Management, Software, and Service Desk preferred. 

  • Clear understanding of and previous experience with Kanban. 

  • Previous experience working with engineering teams and product managers. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management, with a proven history of effectively overseeing both technological and Marketing projects. 

  • Strategic mindset with a background in creative development and familiarity with the creative process, such as website development. 

  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and marketing strategies. 

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities. 

  • Previous experience in a marketing agency or digital product team would be advantageous.  

  • Strong financial management skills, including scoping, burn report tracking, resource allocation across project tasks.
